About Bozo Ball

Bozo Ball is a 50+ year tradition here on Bainbridge Island.

Please join us every Sunday at 12PM – rain, shine, or snow – for a friendly pick-up game. Be sure to bring a light and dark shirt (no gray) and simply join whichever team is down a player when you arrive.

We are a community first pick up soccer game. Zero tolerance for mean people! Community, friendship and sportsmanship first. Everyone is responsible for helping maintain a friendly game. We strive to maintain a safe and encouraging environment for all the members of our community to play regardless of age, skill or gender. We are self-refereed and call fouls at a level appropriate for our broad range of players. Plays like going to ground, hard tackles and overtly reckless play that may not typically be a foul in other games will be called here.

All players must agree to our code of conduct before entering the field. Players are expected to uphold the code of conduct and may be asked to leave if they don’t.

Any changes in venue or special sessions will be noted here and in our WhatsApp community chat.

Bozo Ball is a “Pay to Play” system. Renting the fields and carrying the required insurance costs a significant amount of money so we must require a fee for each session. Players can also choose to pay annually.

  • $5 per session
  • $300 annually
  • Students play for free
  • Talk with a board member if you are unable to afford the fee

The collected fees are used for:

  • Field rental
  • Insurance
  • Annual non-profit incorporation expenses
  • Occasional community events
