Thursday Bozo

The informal Thursday evening pick-up game is back in action. Usually played on the grass behind the high school turf field, the game will be moving to a new location with a reserved field starting next week. The quality of the field and guaranteed reservation should make the Thursday game more consistent and enjoyable. The field at x̌alilc turned out to be just too uneven and rough as the drier weather set in. For now we have moved back to the high school grass near the turf. Keep watching here for an update to the location in August.

Sunday Bozo

The primary Sunday game continues with record attendance at our regular spot at the high school. There are a couple of conflicts with the turf field later this summer that will move us to the grass field at Ordway Elementary, just behind the high school.

Because of the increased attendance leading to single games that are often 20 vs 20 or larger, we plan to setup two fields consistently. Please be supportive and proactive by moving to the second field when arriving after things kick-off. As always, don’t forget to pay the $5 per game fee and bring a white and a dark shirt.

May – August

Sundays, Noon – 2pm

With the longer days and earlier daylight, informal Thursday Bozo Ball is back. This casual game will continue until we lose the evening daylight in Fall.

April – Fall

Bainbridge High School Grass

Thursdays, 5:30 – 7pm

Normally, the game is in the grass field just northwest of the high school turf. Occasionally, we will use the turf in the rare event it is available. This field is often muddy, so be sure to think about appropriate footwear. 👟⚽️

Please remember to always bring $5 for each game. Be sure to write your full name on the clipboard when you deposit funds into the bucket. We’ve had a number of anonymous donations recently and you don’t want to loose credit for all the good karma.

There will be TWO special holiday editions of pickup soccer in the coming weeks. Enjoy a little extra holiday cheer with your local footy community after watching some of those early morning, Boxing Day football games or come get a head start on your New Year’s Resolution to get in better shape.

We’ll play games both on the day after Christmas and another on New Year’s Day.

As we move deeper into Fall and out of Daylight Savings Time, there is no longer enough light in the evenings for the Thursday pick-up game at the High School. We’ll pick this game up again in Spring.

BIFC will be using the high school turf field for a summer tournament in late August. Our normal Sunday pickup game will move to the grass fields behind the baseball field and swimming pool.

Parking will be limited because of the tournament, so please plan ahead.
